Commemorations

Today is Anastacia's birthday and tomorrow is my anniversary. I am 6000 miles away and in many ways living another life, but the melancholy has found me today. Allora... Anastacia and I made a pinata for today. We are making hats as an activity at her party and she has requested my pizza for the dinner. The party doesn't start until 4 PM. Yesterday we were at her competition for swimming. She didn't do well but no one seems bothered. The pool building was stinkin' hot and humid though. It brought to mind images of a sweat lodge. Really. Then on the way home we had hail! I am looking at my pics to see what I haven't posted and I don't think I showed you my birthday or the trip to Spello, et al! My birthday day...Anna and Flavio gave me this the evening before because they were leaving for a bocchi tournament in Melan in the morning. My morning started with befast at our favorite bar. Annastacia told Valentina to make my coffee special today. Then she I and spent the morning at the campground and she asked if I could secretly buy her a "coffee di nonno", which of course I did. After lunch, Cafe di Nonno, (the creamy frozen coffee that I love and hope to make a business of).Supper was a tasting party with cheeses and jellies - anise, vanilla, spicy orange and honey. The anise and vanilla was were surprisingly good! There were four cheese, one was pecorino and Monia couldn't remember the others but it was great. And then she made tiramisu for my cake. Fun day.
