Pirohi

So, Tuesday, I was cooking supper. Anna and I went to the market in the morning, got chicory, etc for pranza. I started the potato filling and the dough before we left and then in the afternoon, Anna came over to help. (Pranza is always great , BTW. I eat with Anna and Flavio. Today it was pasta with veggies and provolone cheese. Delicious.) She knew pretty much exactly how to do it because, of course, she makes ravioli. She speaks no English but she is pretty good with the translation app on her phone and we just use sign language. They really do talk with their hands here. I am getting fluent. I made two batches, several dozen. The browned onions were perfect until I reheated them and then they were, well, rather black. Oh well, the pirohi were great and a big hit, even with the diet thing.
